YIIT. tnx, pretty cool eh, to look back at your old work. but, just to be clear, i have been drawing since then, inconsistently though, i draw i bunch of stuff in like a week and then nothing for a year. something like 50 presentable drawind since i started in '94. and everytime i pick up a pencil again, it's like starting from scratch.

reilanchan, tnx, tnx. always good to hear from you. i really don't know about the points. presentation? they can tell i'm a jerk even from online? heh. i'm more concerned about the lack of crits or even just comments.

dart, i knew i could count on you. yeah...back then it was mostly character designs and pinups. this was a milestone for me though. new style started w/ this and evolved. and i figured id never learn to ink my own work so i finished the pencils as if i were inking them. before this i was comic book artist clone.

Solid drawing, nice lines, and everything. One thing that would make it more dramatic though, is the posistion of the hostage. In reality, her loose arm would most likely be grabbing the assailants wrist (the one holding the gun)
to keep him from choking her. That's not art speaking, that's 11 + years of Aikido talking. That is a very easy hold to get out of, with some training.
But, it's still a good drawing.

rafsan..tnx again dude, unfortunately the story isn't anything like that. it's set in some near future, with a bunch of retro hip and really psycho serial killers breaking out in the middle of political turmoil.they're just puppets and action fodder though, real story is in the politics. you didn't see all that in the drawing???

luke19, thanks pare. yeah, like i mentioned, 9 years ago i wasn't very good with girls. had to cheat a lot and hide body parts, choose simple poses. i developed my style and "inking" around this time though...funny, now i'm better w/ girls after practicing, but my guys used to be better...tnx again.

i mean, i like it, but it looks like ...it needs color, in just black and white it looks like cheaper manga, like the several stories to a mag type work...you should color this

have to disagree with you there...at least on your comment of b&W manga and well, b&w comics in general. there are LOTS of great b&w comics, and many-stories-in-one-mag just happens to be the norm in publishing some manga, and not an issue in quality. great b&w comics are something to aspire to.

having said that, yeah i agree, this isn't great at all, nothing close to what i want to be capable of. kinda under-rendered because always hoped i or somebody would color it someday. sadly, i've never tried. but i'm going to work on it soon.
really busy now. shouldn't even be online for a month until my exams are done. but i ccccaaannn't rrrresssssiiiissstttt......

i like the first man, which is on his knees... he is perfect, mysterious, pitty bout that knife, it would be much better without it.. coz bleed&his character is perfect... only bad thing bout work i can say, is that its not like one style.. for my eyes it looks a bit different, i mean every character..
